The Old Whaling Church, built in 1843 at the height of the whaling industry. The clock tower, which can be seen far out to sea is 92 feet. This was very impressive!
Since we were on foot, we couldn't ferry over to Chappaquidick because it seemed rather large. So, this is a photo of it...it is on our to do list for next time.
This is Gay Head(Aquinnah)...what you are looking at are the Gay Head Cliffs, they say these cliffs have yielded many fossils of ancient flowers, sharks AND camels! It really is stunning!
