I loved this lighthouse! Nobska Light in Woods Hole...the original lighthouse was built in 1828 and replaced in 1879. They say that when seen straight on from the sea, it appears white, but from the side, it assumes a reddish color. Apparently, it helps orient sailors. This had to be one of my favorite stops on the Cape. The village of Woods Hole is in Falmouth and of further interest, the Woods Hole Aquarium and Oceanographic Research Center is located there. (They are the ones who discovered the Titanic).

This is a view of the lighthouse from a distance.
